Nintendo Limits eShop Service in Russia

Nintendo of Europe has informed publishers that the Switch eShop in Russia will operate on a "limited service" from May 31, 2023, as part of its plans to "wind down" its Russian subsidiary. Users with a Russian account will only be able to redownload content they have previously purchased, and new purchases or download codes will not be possible. The eShop has been in "maintenance mode" since Russian payments were suspended in March 2023.
