Cygames announced that Nier will be a new playable character in Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising, a fighting game set to release worldwide in 2023. Nier is described as a puppet character who can summon the primal beast Death to fight alongside her. The game will feature new mechanics like Raging Chain and introduce Partners that offer advice during matches. The beta test will include Siegfried but not Anila. No gameplay footage of Nier has been shown yet.
