Images posted on social media show players sitting at PS5 consoles allegedly playing the game, although it is unclear if they were allowed to share these images. The new game is being led by Sledgehammer and supervised by Infinity Ward, with plans to make it feel like a standalone release and an extension of Modern Warfare II. The game is rumored to feature the new Call of Duty logo and may include maps and modes from Modern Warfare 2. Last year's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was the fastest-selling game in the series' history, surpassing $1 billion in sales in just 10 days.
