"Mother 3 Finally Available on Nintendo Switch Online, Exclusively in Japan"

Mother 3 is set to be added to Nintendo Switch Online, but only in Japan, with no mention of a Western release. The highly anticipated RPG has never received an official translation in North America, despite the cult popularity of its predecessor, Earthbound. Series creator Shigesato Itoi expressed his desire for the game to be available in the U.S., but Nintendo's decision not to localize it was based on business needs at the time. The first two Mother games are already available on Nintendo Switch Online in the West in officially translated form.
