After eight years of development, Mineko's Night Market is finally set to release on Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Windows PC on September 26. The game went through several iterations before reaching its current version, with the developers, Meowza Games, scrapping previous versions two or three times. The team experienced burnout and took a break from game development before returning with the support of their publisher, Humble Games. The art style of Mineko's Night Market draws inspiration from vintage cartoons and Japanese mythology, while the gameplay shifted from 2D to 2.5D. The developers are grateful for the opportunity to create the game they envisioned while prioritizing their mental health.
