"Matt Mercer Takes on the Role of Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth"

Voice actor Matt Mercer, known for his role as Dungeon Master in Critical Role, has been announced as the voice of Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second chapter of Square Enix's remake of the classic game. Mercer auditioned for the role and was initially told he would be playing minor NPCs, but was surprised during a recording session when he was revealed to be voicing Vincent Valentine. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to release on February 29, 2024 for PlayStation 5.
