Microsoft's 343 Industries is collaborating with modders to restore cut content from the original release of "Halo: Combat Evolved" and add it to "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The restoration includes enemies, vehicles, weapons, and multiplayer maps. Mod team Digsite has been working with 343 to restore content from the game's early days as a real-time strategy and third-person shooter title. The restored content includes previously unseen multiplayer maps, such as 'Underground,' which remixes the 'Indoor' map with new assets. Additionally, long-lost content, like the third-person Macworld demo from 1999, is being added. More content is expected to be restored in the future.
