Larian Studios has provided a workaround for a persistent save issue affecting Baldur's Gate 3 players on Xbox Series X|S, where save files are being wiped. The developer suggests creating a Larian account to enable cross-saving, which currently backs up the last five saves to Larian servers. This temporary solution is in place while Microsoft works on a permanent fix for the firmware issue causing the problem. Players are advised to ensure the "Syncing cloud save" message is gone before exiting the game to prevent loss of progress.
