Insights into Overwatch 2's Core Game Modes and Releases.

Overwatch 2's upcoming major game mode, Flashpoint, will be a new "core game mode" replacing 2CP, with both a Quick Play and Competitive queue for it. It will be launched with the release of Overwatch 2: Invasion on August 10. Teams will fight for control of key positions across the map called "flashpoints", aiming to capture three of them before their opponents do. The game mode will bring two new maps specifically made for the new objective. More information is expected to be released as we get closer to Season 6.
