Injustice: A Turning Point for DC Comics' 'Evil Superman' Story.

Injustice, the fighting game franchise from NetherRealm Studios set in an alternate DC Comics universe, has become a successful sub-franchise for DC with its commitment to its own nonsense and bombastic superhero brawls. The series' success can be attributed to its mid-2010s release, before the idea of a "dickhead Superman" became exhausting, and DC's efforts to expand the franchise through comic book prequels, crossovers, and an animated film adaptation. Injustice's success has also inspired similar alt-universe stories in DC Comics.
