"IGN First Reveals Exclusive Mid-Game Boss Battle in Final Fantasy 16"

IGN First released exclusive mid-game boss battle gameplay of Final Fantasy 16 against Liquid Flame, a nostalgic foe from Final Fantasy V. The combat director explained that the boss battle consists of multiple phases and the player must use different Eikon abilities to fight it. The game has two difficulty settings, Story-focused Mode and Action-focused Mode, and a new difficulty setting called Final Fantasy Mode unlocks on the second playthrough. Final Fantasy 16 will be released on PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023.
