Sony has opened pre-orders for Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC, which will cost $19.99/£15.99 and is exclusive to PS5. The DLC sees Aloy pursuing a sinister threat in a far-future, volcanic Los Angeles. Customers who pre-order Burning Shores will receive access to digital bonuses. The expansion isn't coming to PS4, despite the base game, 2022’s Horizon Forbidden West, being released for Sony's current and last-gen consoles. Guerrilla game director Mathijs de Jonge recently discussed how making Burning Shores PS5 exclusive has allowed the studio to get more out of the system.
