Hitman Developer Successfully Convinces James Bond Owner to Greenlight Project 007

The owners of the James Bond franchise were initially uninterested in creating another video game until Hitman developer IO Interactive pitched Project 007. The poorly received recent James Bond game releases may have contributed to their hesitation. IO Interactive proposed a game focused on being a spy and taking down critical targets, similar to the Hitman games. Project 007, an upcoming James Bond game with an original story, is currently in development, while IO Interactive puts Hitman on hiatus.
