"Hidden Gems: Unearthed Cut Content Reveals Doctor Octopus and Classic Spider-Man Villain in Marvel vs. Capcom 3"

Modders of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 have discovered early assets for cut characters, including Doctor Octopus and Frank West. The modders found character select screen portraits for Doctor Octopus and were able to insert them back into the game. However, they were unable to recover his battle theme. Other unused content, such as color palettes, voice lines, and an unfinished stage and music, were also discovered. This is the first physical evidence of Doctor Octopus's existence in the game, which was originally planned but scrapped due to technical issues with his tentacle arms.
