Halo Veteran Joseph Staten Departs Microsoft and Halo Infinite.

Joseph Staten, the Halo veteran who was creatively directing Halo Infinite, has left Microsoft after nine years at the company. Staten worked on the first three Halo games at Bungie and joined 343 Industries in 2020 to help develop Halo Infinite. Microsoft laid off over 10,000 employees in January, and 343 Industries was heavily impacted. Staten left 343 Industries at the time and rejoined Xbox publishing. The future of 343 Industries is still focused on developing Halo, according to studio lead Pierre Hintze and Phil Spencer.
