Game Publishers Strategically Delay Releases to Avoid GTA 6 Competition

The anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6 is causing other game publishers to delay announcing their own release dates to avoid clashing with Rockstar's blockbuster. With GTA 6 expected in fall 2025, publishers are waiting to see if it will be delayed to 2026, aiming to distance their releases from the highly anticipated game. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, is also planning to avoid release conflicts with its major titles, including Borderlands 4.
