Final Fantasy 16's endgame activities include New Game+ with a new harder difficulty setting called Final Fantasy Mode, which changes monster placement and allows players to upgrade their weapons beyond what was possible in the first run through the story. The most difficult challenges in Final Fantasy 16 wait for players in the Chronolith Trials and Ultimaniac Mode, with Chronolith Trials being the "most difficult challenge in FFXVI." Arcade Mode will also get a difficulty bump in New Game+'s Final Fantasy Mode. Final Fantasy 16 will be released on PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023.
