Fallout 76: The Backwoods Update Brings Bigfoot, Armor Overhaul, and New Activities
The Backwoods update for Fallout 76 launches today, adding the 4-star legendary Bigfoot with a chance to drop the new Thrillseeker mod, plus other fearsome encounters like the Deathclaw Matriarch and Wendigo Colossus. It rebrands many events as Activities with a time-based rotation, boosts rewards, and refines loot for more meaningful drops, while Pip-Boy performance improves and armor gets a major balance pass (lighter weight, under-armor mod slots, expanded resistances). The patch also introduces Season 24 Rip Daring content, Vanity Lights for Photo Mode, and a broad set of fixes and balance tweaks across weapons, enemies, C.A.M.P.s, quests, and UI on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
