"Exploring Weapon and Army Changes in Warhammer 40K 10th Edition"

Games Workshop has updated weapon special rules in Warhammer 40,000: 10th Edition, with weapon classifications becoming weapon abilities, allowing weapons to behave in more varied ways without increasing the number of rules to learn. The Bolt Rifle and the Assault and Heavy weapons have been reworked, with the Bolt Rifle variants rolled into one profile. Heavy now provides a +1 to hit if the unit remained stationary, while Assault allows a unit to Advance and fire their Assault weapons without any "to hit" penalty. Most guns have not increased in strength and have often lost a pip of AP, making small arms fire more appropriate vs infantry but less effective against vehicles.
