Halo Infinite's Fracture event introduces a new Story Shard series called Precipice, which explores the activities of the Created after Cortana's sacrifice on Zeta Halo. High Auxiliary Sloan enacts the FIREWALL contingency, a living simulation meant to accelerate the development of cybernetic essence vessels designed to usher the human mind into its digital future. The choose your own adventure-style story is told over four parts and allows players to make decisions that affect the outcome of the narrative.
