Embracer Group closes Campfire Cabal, Danish developer ceases operations

Embracer Group has reportedly closed down Danish studio Campfire Cabal as part of its ongoing restructuring efforts. The closure was announced by former executive producer Bruno-Christian Belibou, who stated that the decision was made in June and that the studio was unable to find a new home for its team. Campfire Cabal, operating under THQ Nordic, focused on developing turn-based RPGs for PC. This comes after Embracer Group's recent collapse of a $2 billion partnership deal and its announcement to shutter studios and cut jobs in order to become a more self-sufficient company.
