Embracer Group Announces Closure of Free Radical Design Before Christmas

Free Radical Design, the studio behind the TimeSplitters franchise, is reportedly set to shut down on December 11, according to a report. Parent company Embracer has allegedly confirmed the closure in a company-wide email. While there is a possibility of an interested party acquiring the studio, a majority of Free Radical staff have already announced that they are looking for employment. The studio was revived in 2021 to develop a fourth TimeSplitters game, but it is uncertain what will happen to the project if Free Radical closes down.
