Destiny 2's 2023 State of the Game: PvP Expansion, New Map, and More

Destiny 2's director, Joe Blackburn, shared key updates in the game's State of the Game post. Changes include focusing on exotic missions, seasonal activities, and new destinations rather than new Crucible maps, introducing new game modes, addressing game security, improving stability, and providing more narrative and gameplay freedom in upcoming seasons. Other updates include improvements to the vendor system, transmats, and ritual rank-ups, as well as the introduction of new weapon subfamilies and weapon tuning. The Final Shape expansion will conclude the Light and Dark saga, and a new system called "Pathfinder" will replace ritual bounties. Fireteam Finder will be launched in season 23 to enhance the progression system and facilitate playing with friends.
