Destiny 2's upcoming update, Into the Light, will introduce a permanent horde mode called Onslaught, fulfilling a long-time fan request. The mode will feature 10 and 50-wave challenges, with a higher difficulty version requiring a pre-made fireteam. Players will defend against waves of enemies while collecting scrap to install defensive tools. The announcement comes as a welcome addition for players awaiting the June 4 release of The Final Shape expansion, following the poor reception of the 2023 Lightfall expansion.
