After 10 years, Destiny is finally getting a true horde mode with the introduction of the new Onslaught mode in the free Into the Light update, where teams of three players defend the Last City from waves of enemies. The mode features different defense items, currency, matchmaking, and challenging variants, with the promise of rewarding loot. The update is set to roll out in April and May, leading up to the June release of The Final Shape expansion.
