Cozy Lord of the Rings Game "Tales of the Shire" Coming Soon

Weta Workshop and Private Division are collaborating on a new Lord of the Rings game called Tales of the Shire, set to release in 2024. Described as a "cozy" game, details are scarce, but a live-action trailer suggests a tranquil farming sim in the style of Stardew Valley. This is one of several Lord of the Rings games in development, including an MMO by Amazon and a survival crafting title called The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. Embracer Group, which secured the rights to the franchise, aims to turn it into one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world.
