"City of Heroes: The Phoenix Rises with Homecoming Revival and Dev's Support"

NCSoft has officially licensed the fan-run private server "Homecoming" to host the MMORPG City of Heroes, which was originally shut down in 2012. The Homecoming team will continue to develop new content and maintain the game, which will remain free and funded by donations. While the development will be closed-source, the agreement allows the game to be revived with the original developer's blessing, although NCSoft retains the right to shut down the server at any time.
