Christian Whitehead Unveils Sonic Mania 2 Prototype Artwork

Christian Whitehead revealed prototype artwork of a potential Sonic Mania 2, showcasing a 2.5D Badnik called Kanga Clanga, which was part of a concept for a next-generation Sonic game that never materialized. The artwork and a custom 'Outback' beat highlight what could have been, as Sega moved away from pixel art and Sonic Mania's sequel was ultimately not developed. Whitehead's studio later worked on Penny's Big Breakaway, and Sonic Mania was followed by Sonic Superstars.
