The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise is rumored to be a new Black Ops title set during the early-1990s Gulf War. According to sources, the game will feature traditional military combat gadgets and tech, and will aim to tell a nuanced narrative of the conflict. Leaked game files suggest the inclusion of maps from previous Black Ops games and a round-based Zombies mode. Activision is also said to be planning a pre-order early access bonus. The game is expected to be released in late fall/early winter 2024.
