Indie developer Maxime Foulquier is creating a fan-made game called Bloodborne: Top Down Arena, which reimagines the original Bloodborne as a Diablo-like action-RPG. Foulquier abandoned plans for a full remake due to potential legal issues with Sony, opting instead for a project he believes is distinct enough to avoid a cease-and-desist. Despite this, the use of the Bloodborne name could still attract legal attention. Fan projects like this and others, such as Graceborne, continue to emerge as fans await official updates from Sony on the Bloodborne franchise.
