Assassin's Creed Red: Unveiling the First Real-Life Assassin in Gaming History

Assassin's Creed Red will feature the first real-life protagonist in the series, based on the African Samurai Yasuke. The game will also include a female protagonist named Naoe, seeking revenge for her father's death. Yasuke's story has been rewritten to fit the game's narrative, where he survives a slave ship attack and becomes a samurai under Nobunaga's service. The two protagonists start as enemies but later become allies in their quest for Japan's unification. Other historical characters, including Oda Nobunaga and Hattori Hanzo, will also appear in the game. It remains unclear if Yasuke will be referred to by his real-life name in the final release.
