Composer Brendan Angelides, known as Eskmo or Welder, collaborated with Middle Eastern musicians to create the soundtrack for the upcoming video game Assassin's Creed Mirage, set in 9th-century Baghdad. Angelides fused electronic and orchestral music, while Palestinian composer and orchestrator Akram Haddad incorporated Middle Eastern elements for historical accuracy. The soundtrack blends Arabic and western music seamlessly, with a focus on respecting each tradition's specific musical idioms and techniques. Assassin's Creed Mirage will launch on multiple platforms in 2023.
