The ban follows community concerns about the prevalence of cheaters, especially after a player suspiciously reached the top 250 leaderboard in under 24 hours. Activision's anti-cheat system, Ricochet, has detected and banned over 19,000 accounts, but the situation raises concerns about the integrity of both paid and free-to-play Call of Duty experiences.
