Fortnite Takes Center Stage in Olympic Esports

Eight grandmasters, including Shant Sargsyan and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, have qualified for the Olympic Esports Series 2023 Finals in Singapore after accumulating three match wins in the Preliminaries. The tournament featured an "Elimination Swiss" format, with players who lost three matches being eliminated. The biggest comeback was Ter-Sahakyan's, who won three consecutive games on demand to overtake Alexey Sarana in their round-one match. All eight winners of the Preliminaries were grandmasters.
