Legacy HBO Max Ad-Free Subscribers to Lose 4K Streaming Access

TL;DR Summary
HBO Max will no longer offer 4K streaming to its ad-free subscribers, including legacy subscribers, starting next month. Warner Bros. Discovery, the owner of HBO Max, is removing this feature unless users upgrade to the "Ultimate" tier, which costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year. The standard ad-free plan will now only offer Full HD resolution. In addition, the number of devices that can stream concurrently will be reduced to two, and offline downloads will remain unaffected. This change comes as HBO Max has been cutting costs and removing content throughout the year.
