Zero Punctuation Video Series Faces Uncertain Future Amid Escapist Staff Exodus

The long-running video review series Zero Punctuation is seemingly coming to an end following the resignation of creator Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw and the rest of The Escapist's video team. The exodus of staff was prompted by the firing of the outlet's editor-in-chief, Nick Calandra, by The Escapist owners Gamurs Group. Calandra and Croshaw both expressed plans to go independent, with Croshaw promising to continue creating content elsewhere. Zero Punctuation, known for its rapid speech and harsh reviews, has amassed a loyal following since its launch in 2007. The Escapist, which was acquired by Gamurs Group in 2022, has seen several staff departures recently.
