"Post Office Postmasters Forced to Repay Stolen Funds"

More than a dozen sub-postmasters and postmistresses who were victims of armed robberies were told to pay back the stolen money by the Post Office, despite facing inadequate security measures. The victims, including Jonathan Brenton and Lesley Pearsall, expressed feeling ignored and mistreated by the Post Office, with one being asked to pay back £1,705.31 of the stolen money. The Post Office has stated that it has significantly enhanced victim support and improved security procedures in branches.
