AirTag-Stuffed Animal Duo Foils Serial Bar Thief

A serial burglar in South Carolina, Samuel Smith, who targeted bars and banks, was outsmarted by the Sneaky Beagle bar with the help of an AirTag-tracked teddy bear and a decoy safe. After a string of break-ins, the bar staff placed an Apple AirTag inside a teddy bear and left it in a decoy safe. Smith fell for the trap and stole the AirTag-tracked safe, leading to his arrest. The use of the AirTag helped connect the burglaries, ending Smith's months-long crime spree.
