Porsche's Rule-Breaking Rennsport: A Heaven for Track Car Enthusiasts

Porsche has unveiled the 911 GT3 R Rennsport, a limited edition track toy with 611 horsepower and extreme downforce that defies FIA competition rules. Designed to be raced in events like Le Mans, the Rennsport model features unique body panels, air intakes, and ground effects. It is a single-seater with a roll cage, and its massive rear wing provides both downforce and a picnic bench. The car shares many components with the GT3 R, including the 4.2-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, but with increased power and a sequential six-speed gearbox. Only 77 examples of the GT3 R Rennsport will be produced, with a price tag of $1,046,000.
