ZF's Easy Turn System Revolutionizes BMW i3's Maneuverability

TL;DR Summary
German company ZF has developed a steering module called the Easy Turn Strut, which can significantly reduce a car's turning radius. When combined with a rear-wheel steering system, the module can lower the turning radius to as little as 18.7 feet (5.7 meters), making parallel parking and maneuvering in tight spaces much easier. Even without rear-wheel steering, the Easy Turn Strut can still reduce the turning radius to 22.3 feet (6.8 meters). ZF plans to bring the affordable solution to market in about two and a half years. Other companies, such as Hyundai Mobis, are also working on similar technologies to improve urban maneuverability.
