Quora's AI chatbot app, Poe, now allows users to create their own bots using prompts and existing bots as a base, such as ChatGPT and Claude. The new feature will enable users to direct bots to perform highly specific tasks, such as outputting text in the style of a favorite author or aimed at a certain audience. The app has already generated $520,000 in gross revenue and has 1.17 million installs. Quora plans to cover all the costs involved with operating this feature for the time being, including the LLM fees, which could get expensive if any bots become popular.
