Cyclist Rohan Dennis Pleads Guilty in Wife's Tragic Death Case

Former world champion cyclist Rohan Dennis has pleaded guilty to an aggravated charge of creating a risk of harm in connection with the road death of his Olympian wife, Melissa Hoskins, in December 2023. The plea was made in Adelaide Magistrates Court after prosecutors agreed not to pursue more severe charges. Dennis, who retired in 2023, did not intend to harm Hoskins, according to his lawyer. Hoskins, a retired track cyclist and two-time Olympian, died from injuries sustained in the incident. Dennis will be sentenced at a later date.
