"Community Donations Prompt Replacement of Stolen Jackie Robinson Statue"

A bronze statue of Jackie Robinson, the first Black baseball player to integrate Major League Baseball, was stolen and found destroyed in a Kansas park. An online fundraiser raised over $160,000 to replace the statue, with MLB and its 30 clubs also pledging support. The theft and vandalism have not been attributed to a specific motive, and the responsible parties have not been apprehended.
