Trevor Lawrence Takes Responsibility for Ankle Injury, Refuses Cart

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence took the blame for walking off the field on his injured ankle instead of using a cart. Lawrence suffered a high-ankle sprain during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals and decided to walk to the locker room with the assistance of trainers. He later explained that he wanted to get off the field quickly and didn't realize how long the walk would be. Despite the injury, Lawrence is expected to return this season, and in the meantime, backup quarterback C.J. Beathard will take over.
