Tragedy Strikes College Baseball Team as Dugout Collapses, Claiming Young Player's Life

Angel Mercado-Ocasio, a 19-year-old baseball player at Central Penn College, died after a makeshift dugout collapsed on him while he was helping to take it down. The dugout was deemed illegal by the city and was built by a local youth baseball team. Mercado-Ocasio suffered a traumatic head injury and died in the hospital the next day. Friends and coaches remembered him as a lighthearted kid and mourned his loss. The local youth baseball coach who built the dugout blames himself for the incident. No legal action has been taken against the city or the coach and players.
