Texas Debuts Redshirt Freshman QB Maalik Murphy in Matchup Against BYU

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has named redshirt freshman quarterback Maalik Murphy as the starter for the upcoming game against BYU, replacing the injured Quinn Ewers. Murphy impressed during practice and led the Longhorns to a game-winning drive in his previous appearance. Sarkisian also mentioned the possibility of freshman Arch Manning getting some playing time but has yet to make a final decision.
