Reimer released a statement saying he has no hate in his heart for anyone and believes that every person has value and worth, but he cannot endorse something that is counter to his personal convictions based on the Bible. Sharks captain Logan Couture said Reimer had the right to make his own decision, and the rest of the team will wear the jerseys that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
