"Self's Charity Game in Champaign: A Slam Dunk for Maui Aid"

Bill Self, the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks, will return to Champaign, Illinois, for a charity game against the Fighting Illini to raise money for the victims of the Maui fires. The exhibition game, scheduled for October 29th, will be held at the State Farm Center and aired on the Big Ten Network. The proceeds will go towards the Maui Strong Fund. Originally planned as a closed scrimmage, the event was turned into a public exhibition to support the recovery efforts in Maui. Both Self and Illinois coach Brad Underwood have participated in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in recent years.
