"Patriots' New Coaching Staff: From Player to Coach, Youth to Vets"

Former Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower has joined Jerod Mayo’s coaching staff after an extensive process. Hightower, who had expressed interest in coaching, will serve as the inside linebackers coach, following a similar path to Mayo. Mayo advised Hightower to be a sponge and learn from others, particularly defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington. Covington is excited to have Hightower's leadership and hopes it will benefit the team.
