Patrick Reed's Defamation Lawsuits Dismissed by Federal Judge

A federal judge in Florida has dismissed golfer Patrick Reed's $750 million defamation lawsuits against the Golf Channel, various commentators, and media outlets. The judge ruled that Reed's complaints did not provide sufficient evidence of actual malice, and many of the statements in question were not specifically about Reed or were matters of opinion. Reed had accused the defendants of conspiring to destroy the LIV Golf Tour and labeled him as a cheater, liar, thief, murderer, and someone who accepts blood money from terrorists. The judge will decide whether the defendants are entitled to recover attorney's fees and court costs from Reed.
